Few topics create more anxiety for new parents than newborn digestion. Gas, grunting, spit-up, straining, frequent stools, infrequent stools, fussiness after feeds—families often worry that something is wrong when many […]
The weekend of October 26-27th, 2019 I participated in the Live Foundational Training with Newborn Care Solutions at the White House Nannies office in DC. I was blown away by Tonya’s vast amount of wisdom and expertise. The individuals enrolled in the course were impressive. Investing in professional development has always been important to me. At the end of the course the Elite program was mentioned. I am generally quite frugal, so it seemed unattainable at that moment. I said to myself, “maybe one day”.
When the inaugural NCS Enrichment Conference was announced I jumped on the opportunity because Newborn Care Solutions focuses on excellence. During the conference I chatted with current and Master level students, as well as graduates of the program. They gave me their honest feedback and encouraged me to apply. I didn’t actually plan on applying so swiftly. I’m cautious and usually need a roadmap before I comfortably begin something new. The last evening of the conference I won a $500 giftcard to any NCS program (including Elite). It was such a generous gift, but I didn’t know how I was going to make it work within my schedule. I opted to reach out to Tonya. I sent her a note and we scheduled a call. We discussed how the program could be transformative, but she didn’t sugar coat the effort involved. The program is what you put into it. I applied and began Elite year one January of 2023.
It is now application time for Elite year two. I learned from my amazing friend, coach and mentor Crystal Gail that before you do ANYTHING you should be extraordinarily clear on your “why”. Why is this important to you? Once you are confident in your “why”, it is imperative that you reevaluate it annually. This past weekend I took a backpacking trip that allowed me loads of time to reflect and set goals for the following year.
Here are the reasons I am applying for Elite year two:
The Elite NCS™ program has transformed my life and improved multiple facets of my caregiving practice. If the program is even the slightest bit interesting to you I encourage you to talk to previous students and/or email the office at info@newborncaresolutions.com
