Being stuck at home during this pandemic, it can be challenging to have the resources you typically have access to and would want in your home. We understand that it's time to turn to more virtual services so you can still find the resources needed for Virtual Newborn Support During a Pandemic.
Our first Elite Newborn Care Solutions Students and expert Newborn Care Specialists we would like to introduce you to are Chevelle Frederick and Alexis Courtney-Torres. They are the co-owners of Harmony Baby Concierge where they offer hands-on support to babies and families in their homes and now virtually through the pandemic. Now we will turn it over to Chevelle and Alexis for you to learn more about their business and how they are helping families all over the country virtually with their baby concierge services.
In a perfect world, babies would come home with a comprehensive manual with step-by-step instructions. In reality, every baby is different and every family is unique. Postpartum support is one of the most valuable resources any family could have. Social distancing and shelter in place orders have limited access to our families and parenting villages, but the need for postpartum support is greater than ever. As experienced Elite Newborn Care Specialists and co-owners of Harmony Baby Concierge, Chevelle Frederick, and Alexis Courtney-Torres are used to providing hands-on support to babies and families in their homes. Harmony Baby Concierge, a boutique agency geared towards providing customized services to families with newborns and infants 0-14 months, has had to change the way that we do business due to social distancing guidelines so we’ve quickly adapted and developed an innovative way to offer support for the families who need us the most. This ability to think outside the box was made possible through our training, experience, and mentorship as students of Newborn Care Solutions Institute and the Elite program they offer. The monthly class meetings create opportunities to foster ingenuity, offer support, guidance, resourcefulness, and networking.
In order to meet families where they are in their parenting journey, whether that be brand new babies or are having sleep training issues, Harmony Baby Concierge is excited to be able to now offer virtual support packages to families during this uncertain time. Harmony has created three comprehensive packages as well as individual 30-minute a-la-carte calls to ensure families have options to fit their needs.
Whether you are about to welcome your new addition or you just had a baby and are having lots of questions like, is the swaddle on properly, does the baby’s belly cord stump look ok, why does my baby cry constantly, is it gas, overtiredness or hunger, how does my nursery set up look or does this diaper look right to you? We can help with all of that! Or maybe you need help learning how to sleep condition your infant and don’t know where to start, we can help with that too!
We can help! No matter what your hurdle is, Harmony Baby Concierge is prepared to be there and partner with you and your little one. Just hop on a video call with us via Zoom, Facebook Messenger, or FaceTime via your mobile device or laptop at a pre-scheduled time , and let’s get to problem-solving!
They are designed to guide you just as if we were coming into your house in person on a weekly basis but are much safer and at more convenient times for you!
The First Weeks Package - This package works best for families with newborns 0-8 weeks. We offer our clients FOUR weeks of support with 90, 60, and 45-minute calls along with resources covering everything from basic baby care, product recommendations, engaging with your baby, tummy time, infant milestones, preparing for sleep conditioning, routines, schedules, tips and tweaks, and more. This package includes 2 emails per week for extra support in between calls.
Gentle Sleep Coaching Package - This package works best for families with babies 0-16 weeks. This is a 3-week support program with 60 -minute and 30-minute video calls that teaches Gentle Sleep Conditioning NOT Sleep Training, meaning that we will help you get your baby sleeping longer stretch naturally without the use of crying or other harsh methods. By meeting our babies' needs and showing them empathy and compassion ("the methodology taught by Newborn Care Solutions" as we often have folks thinking we teach cry-it-out), we will work together to have well-rested parents & a well-rested baby.
We will guide you through safe sleep practices, good sleep hygiene, the science behind sleep as well as provide an in-depth sleep plan with a daily schedule to follow as well as detailed instructions on how to meet your goals. Unlimited email support during the package period to get baby sleeping just right.
7-Day Sleep Coaching - This package works best for families with babies 12 weeks - 6 months of age. As your baby grows they should begin to sleep longer stretches throughout the night. Most babies can sleep 9-12 hours by 10-16 weeks so long as they are healthy and well-fed. Sometimes this can be hard to achieve and families need extra support and guidance to assure sleep happens at night for the entire family. When sleep training, our goal is to help you reach your goals with as little crying and stress as possible to foster a healthy family dynamic and create happy & well-rested family units. This is achieved during an in-depth 60-minute initial call and 2-30 minute check-in calls along with 3 follow up emails to support you throughout the package.
