Lauren is an experienced Newborn Care Specialist seeking positions working with infants in private homes. They have three years of experience as an NCS, and love supporting families as they welcome a new family member. Lauren is passionate about sharing knowledge with parents about newborn development and demonstrating responsive / respectful care techniques. Lauren’s calm energy creates a peaceful environment throughout the home. They share information about gentle sleep shaping, developing a healthy circadian rhythm, what a typical routine may look like in the first weeks and months, and so much more. Lauren uses a RIE® and Pikler® inspired focus on promoting natural motor development through providing ample opportunity for active infant-led play. They are excited for opportunities to become a natural extension of a family with a high level of mutual trust and collaboration. When Lauren is not working, you will often find them skiing, mountain biking, or enjoying an international travel adventure!
