As the founder of Newborn Care Solutions, Tonya has found a way to utilize her lifelong passion for infant care to build up the worldwide community of infant caregivers. 

From the young age of 11, Tonya knew that she wanted to build a career focused on newborn care. Her natural intuition, knowledge and understanding of infants led her to become an INA Credentialed Nanny and Newborn Care Specialist, CAPPA trained Postpartum Doula and Parent Educator and Consultant. 

After spending over 30 years working as a Nanny, Newborn Care Specialist and Household Manager, she went on to create Newborn Care Solutions alongside her husband, Todd, a company dedicated to the specialized training of high-level Newborn Care Specialists and the only company to offer the Master NCS® Training Program. 

Her business continued to grow to include educational opportunities for agencies that place Newborn Care Specialists and targeted education for parents of newborns.

Tonya is a founding member and serves on the Advisory Board for the Baby Dream Team, a group of dedicated Newborn Care Specialists who offer their services as volunteers to families around the country experiencing the birth of higher order multiples. She is a contributing expert for multiple websites, has been published in and/or featured in Parents Magazine, Child Magazine, The Seattle Times, The AZ Republic, The Wall Street Journal and the INA Vision.

 Tonya has also made numerous television appearances including spots on the news in Seattle, Portland and Phoenix as well as an appearance in 2007 on the Today show for a special on the Masche miracles, a family she cared for after the birth of their sextuplets.

In her personal life, Tonya and her husband are proud parents of two teenage children in Scottsdale, Arizona. She enjoys spending what little free time she has cooking delicious meals, knitting and traveling both domestically and internationally with her family. Tonya also spends much of her free time focusing on her second passion, experiencing the amazing wonders of the world under the sea as a Certified Master Scuba Diver. In 2015, Tonya realized another lifelong dream when she embarked on a dive trip in The Tuamotus where she was able to dive alongside Jean-Michel Cousteau, a dedicated advocate for the protection of the water planet and son of the famed Jacques Cousteau.

Tonya is a highly in demand speaker for the International Nanny Association’s annual conference and has spoken at several National Association of Nannies and International Nanny Training Day conferences as well as speaking for the Association of Premier Nanny Agencies at their Annual Conference and for multiple other parent and caregiver organizations. She has become known as the expert in the field of Newborn Care and she has dedicated her life to elevating those within the industry.
