A formal NCS training program such as Newborn Care Solutions’ Foundational Course or an equivalent training program or certification; or 5+ years of professional experience working as an NCS as well as being a credentialed NCS through the International Nanny Association;
A minimum of 2 years’ or 5 short-term positions (whichever is less) working exclusively as a newborn care specialist or a postpartum doula;
Ability to work legally in the United States, either as a W-2 employee or as an independent contractor operating under your own LLC;
Glowing references from past employers;
A professional demeanor and communication style, both written and verbally;
A genuine passion for caring for infants and supporting new families;
A clean driving record for positions that list driving as a requirement.
