🍼 Tip of the Day for NCS Professionals For babies 🍼 Tip of the Day for NCS Professionals

For babies with mild reflux, keeping them upright after feeding can help reduce spit-up and discomfort.

While recommendations vary, 30–45 minutes may be helpful for some babies. Pay attention to the individual newborn and adjust your approach based on their needs and guidance from their healthcare provider.

Your observation skills matter. Every baby is different!

Want to deepen your knowledge of reflux, feeding, and individualized newborn care? 💛

Newborns aren’t born knowing the difference betwee Newborns aren’t born knowing the difference between day and night. ☀️🌙

Their circadian rhythm develops gradually during the first few months, which means frequent waking, unpredictable sleep, and mixed-up days and nights can all be developmentally normal.

As newborn care professionals, understanding the biology behind sleep helps us set realistic expectations, educate families, and support healthy sleep development without expecting babies to do something they aren’t ready for yet.

The goal isn’t to control newborn sleep. It’s to understand it and work with their developing biology.

Caring for multiples doesn’t require eight arms or Caring for multiples doesn’t require eight arms or magic. 🐙 It takes skill, strategy, and confidence.

One of the best places to start? A coordinated routine. Keeping feedings and naps in sync can create more predictable days, reduce overwhelm, and make it easier to meet each baby’s individual needs.

Ready to go from “How am I going to manage this?” to “I’ve got this”? 💪

🐙 The Magical Octopus: Advanced Multiples Training gives you practical strategies and real-world techniques for confidently caring for twins, triplets, and beyond.

Tiny scratches are usually a normal part of newbor Tiny scratches are usually a normal part of newborn life. 💚

Newborns have little control over their hand movements, and their startle reflex often causes them to brush their face. Since their nails grow quickly, small facial scratches are common.

One of the best ways to help prevent scratches is to keep your baby's nails trimmed and smooth.
